Upwork's $1M Work Together COVID-19 talent grant program
The problem
Upwork's $1M Work Together talent grant program supported organisations working on the impact of COVID-19. It was urgent: it needed a landing page, an application submission system and tracking, all inside Upwork's design system, plus a review process the grant jury could actually use.
What I built
- Led the development team, and built hands-on, to ship the landing page, application system and tracking in one week.
- Set up a structured review process in Zendesk for the grant applications.
- Supported the review jury technically throughout the review.
What changed
The application platform and Zendesk review flow handled thousands of submissions, helping award $1M in grants across 40 recipient organizations fighting COVID-19.
